Call announce and return (1471)

The CLI (i.e. the phone number) of the last incoming call and time of the call is disclosed so you can return the call - this is commonly referred to as 1471. Dial 1471 from your Bulldog phone to hear the last number received and dial '3' to return the call.

The service is included with your Bulldog Line at no extra charge.

Call waiting

In the event that you are already on a call and another incoming call is received at the same time, you are alerted to the incoming call by consecutive "beeps". If you have a display equipped telephone, you can also see who is calling you, unless the number is withheld or unavailable. The caller is also informed by a recorded message that you know they are calling. You can then decide on whether to carry on your conversation and ignore the incoming call or whether to switch to the new call. You can also put your current call on hold whilst you speak to the new, incoming caller.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth..

3-way calling

Three-way calling allows you to toggle between two calls on your phone line, essentially allowing you to take another incoming call whilst on the phone to someone else. You can also have all three of you on the phone at the same time in a group conversation, turning your phone into a useful tele-conference service. In order to use three-way calling your telephone will require a “RECALL” button, which allows you to put the call currently in progress on HOLD. Note that this is different from the last number redial button, and is normally marked “R” on your telephone.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth..

Voicemail Basic (1571)

Voicemail is an easy-to-use, always available service that gives you the ability to take messages from callers. It is particularly helpful if you are unavailable or the phone is engaged.

After ringing without answer, or if the phone is engaged, a standard, courteous message announces that you are unavailable to take the call and invites the caller to leave a message. Up to 10 messages can be stored (each up to 3 minutes) before a message announces that the mailbox is full. These messages can be stored for up to 10 days. Conveniently, the time and date of the saved call will be recorded as well as the caller's phone number (unless the caller withholds this). You can switch the service on or off. However, unlike Voicemail Plus, it cannot be accessed remotely.

The service is included with your Bulldog Line at no extra charge and you can choose to add this service to your Bulldog Line when you sign up.

We also offer a Voicemail Plus service which enables you to do much more for £1.50/mth.

Voicemail Plus (1571)

Bulldog's Voicemail Plus offers all the things that Voicemail Basic does and a lot more. It's an easy-to-use service that gives you the ability to take messages from callers.

With Voicemail Plus you can replace the standard, message with your own personalised message announcing that you are unavailable to take the call and inviting the caller to leave a message. Bulldog's Voicemail Plus lets you store more messages too as a result of its hefty storage capacity. Up to 150 minutes of messages can be stored (each up to 5 minutes) and each can be saved for up to 20 days. Conveniently, you can access your messages when you're home and when you're not at home - even if you're overseas. You can reset your outgoing message remotely too.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth..

Withhold my number (141)

By default your phone lines will not withhold your CLI (i.e. your phone number) when you dial another phone. However, by using your phone keypad and dialling 141 before the full destination number, you can change this so that your phone number is not disclosed. This is known by BT customers as 141.

You can also have your number permanently withheld if you wish (you will need to contact Bulldog Customer Service to do that), and disclose your number on a call by call basis (dialling 1470 in front of the number).

The service is included with your Bulldog Line at no extra charge

Caller display

Caller display allows you to see who is calling you, unless the number is withheld or unavailable, so you can reduce unsolicited marketing and sales calls. Caller display requires a display equipped telephone.

The service is included with your Bulldog Line at no extra charge

Anonymous call reject

With this feature you are able to automatically reject calls where the caller's number is withheld or unavailable for technical reasons.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth..

Call forwarding

Incoming calls can be forwarded to another destination phone number and, conveniently, you can decide in which situations you want them forwarded. You can set call forwarding to be unconditional ('Call forward unconditional') so that it's enabled on all incoming calls. You can also set it to forward your calls only if your phone is not answered ('Call forward no reply'). Alternatively, you can set your phone to forward incoming calls if your line is engaged ('Call forward on busy'). Forwarding can be set up and cleared from your phone dial pad. It can also be activated when you're away from home.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth..

Call barring

This allows you to bar certain types of calls made from your phone. This can be an extremely useful facility, allowing you to:

To change your setting, you simply activate the call barring function on your phone (with the appropriate PIN number), then select your call barring level.

The cost for this service is £1.50/mth. You can also choose our all feature bundle including all six additional features, for just £5.00/mth.

*As a standard setting, calls to premium rate numbers, that's numbers starting 09, are barred. If you want to remove this bar, a prepayment charge of £50 is made which is used against your bill. You just need to call 150 from your Bulldog phone and select option 1 to confirm, and make payment by credit or debit card.
