What is DoubleSpeed Broadband?

• DoubleSpeed Broadband is a family of high-speed broadband services based on the new ADSL2+ technology, which is more efficient than the standard ADSL technology and therefore provides better performance in terms of speed.

What are the benefits of DoubleSpeed Broadband?

• DoubleSpeed Broadband will transform the way you use the Internet. Its up to 16 meg download speed (up to twice as fast as our standard up to 8 meg service's download speed) is perfect for downloading and streaming high quality / rich media files (e.g. video, photo, music, etc.), as well as receiving files from friends.
  
  Its up to 1 meg upload speed (double that of our standard up to 8 meg service's upload speed) is perfect for hosting rich media web site and sharing high quality video / photo albums, as well as online gaming.

Where is DoubleSpeed Broadband available?

• DoubleSpeed Broadband is currently available in all Bulldog-enabled local phone exchanges. You can type your phone number and postcode into the online availability checker to see if it is available in your area.

How long will it take to get DoubleSpeed Broadband?

• If DoubleSpeed Broadband services are available in your area, they will be set up within the same time needed to provide you with our standard up to 8 meg services.

Are there any services or features that conflict with DoubleSpeed Broadband?

• DoubleSpeed Broadband is incompatible with any service that is also in conflict with our standard up to 8 meg services (e.g. ISDN and alarm services). If you have any of these incompatible services, we will notify you so that you can decide to change or cancel it, since we are unable to do it on your behalf.
  
  In addition, at present we are unable to offer DoubleSpeed Broadband with a Bulldog second phone line due to the extended testing yet to be completed on the special equipment required for both services. In the near future when the equipment is ready, you will be able to combine both services.
