Bulldog Launches unbeatable Second Phone Line service

A dedicated second line for just £5 a month, with no installation fee, stops family squabbles or gives a dedicated fax line

Bulldog Communications, the UK market innovator in broadband and telephony services and pioneer of LLU (Local Loop Unbundling), today announces the launch of its pioneering Second Phone Line product for residential customers.

New and existing customers of Bulldog’s Unlimited package will be able to add a second telephone or fax line to their service for only £5 per month* without the cost of an installation fee. The line has the same quality as a regular phone line but doesn’t require the installation of any additional cabling**. This offer is in sharp contrast to competitors where consumers can pay up to £74.99 to install a second line, with an additional commitment to spend a minimum of £11 per month line rental***.

Bulldog’s chief commercial officer, Andrew Morley, commented: “Bulldog’s Second Phone Line offers consumers excellent value for money. Our research indicates that this product will be popular with households wishing to free up the telephone for others to use or to install a fax machine on a separate number.”

“Bulldog has proven itself to be the UK’s most innovative broadband and voice service provider and this ground-breaking offer demonstrates that we are determined to continue to set the pace with better value and choice for all consumers. This is the first in a series of additional line services that Bulldog is developing in order to continue to meet customer requirements.”

A recent survey commissioned by Bulldog, revealed that families often argue over access to the home telephone and internet. The research highlighted tension between couples and in families, with 36% of couples arguing over the time their partner spends on the internet and 42% complaining that they have to wait their turn before getting to chat on the telephone to their friends.

With a second telephone line, talkative teenagers and parents will be able to make calls whenever they want, without disturbing the domestic bliss.
